The Three Pillars to

Strong Bones

01 Physical

Yoga has a unique way of being weight bearing and stressing the bones to stimulate growth

02 Stress Reduction

Reduce stress because chronic stress effects our bones and gut health

03 Nutritional

What we eat, how we eat and how we absorb nutrients matters to bone health

Why Yoga?

Yoga is weight bearing and strengthening. It improves flexibility, coordination and balance. Yoga reduces stress. None of these things are possible with medications for osteoporosis

. . . and yoga has been shown to build bones

Exercise is on everyones list as an important element to build and maintain strong bones. Using the tools of the physical practice of yoga we will be following the Fishman method to practice effectively and safely.

Let go of the fear of practicing alone

Don’t know if you are doing yoga right?

Yoga for Bones is more than just an online yoga class, it is a community where you can practice yoga safely. Using the Fishman method, we will be practicing with alignment, intention and muscle engagement.

In the pose library you will find individual videos of each pose with benefits of the pose and alignment instructions to ensure a safe practice.

We have classes of various lengths and levels to accommodate your time frame and capability.

Not motivated to do it on your own?

Virtual classes are almost like being there in person. Yoga for Bones will offer virtual classes to check in and work together so we can create strong bones.

New practice videos will be continually posted into the library to help keep your practice fresh.

Students will also receive periodic emails of encouragement.
